at Work
After acquiring Wirth Latina’s assets (Brazil), in 1991, Esco started to manufacture, perform the maintenance and render technical assistance services on the following equipment: duplex and triplex piston diaphagm pumps and rotor-pneumatic rigs (models: B0, B0A, BB, B1A, B2A and B3A) for deep wells.

The WIRTH Duplex or Triplex
piston diaphragm pumps perform an excellent job in the transportation of high- and medium-abrasive solids, such as: Phosphate, Iron Mineral Pulp, Copper, Bauxite, Mud, Sand, Petroleum...

The pumped product does not contact directly the
pistons, cylinder liners and rods, as everything is mechanically isolated, by means of a membrane named diaphragm. These parts therefore are not submitted to the wear that normally affects the ordinary pumps.

For this reason, despite the
piston diaphragm pumps being initially slightly more expensive than other pumps, such difference is compensated in a short-time period, due to the significantly less pump stoppage in order to perform the corrective maintenance. Nowadays, the piston diaphragm pumps can operate for approximately 6,000 hours without the need for any kind of maintenance.

The Brazilian market opening for import practices combined with the high level of Wirth Maschinen-und Bohrgeräte- Fabrik GmbH’s competitiveness led to the import of several equipment parts. Wirth is represented in the Brazilian territory by Esco.

Although we have a sucessful history of rotor-pneumatic machine manufacture (models: B0, B0A, BB, B1A, B2A, and B3A) for deep well drilling with a world-class performance, the trading to this product will only take place in case of great demand.

Meanwhile, we proceed with our imports, assuring our clients efficient services in immediate technical assistance and part replacement.

Double-action pump

In double-action pumps, the piston operates in the two directions, by applying pressure to one diaphragm when it goes and to another diaphragm when it returns (see figure above).

Single-action pump

In single-action pumps, the piston operates in a single direction, by applying pressure to one diaphragm when it goes (see figure above).
